DÉCLARATION DU JOUEUR (impliqué dans l’incident du match du 14 octobre)
À tous mes coéquipiers, CS Longueuil, aux joueurs / équipes de la ligue (PLSQ), FSQ et à tous les supporteurs qui pourraient avoir été touchés par l’incident,
Je voudrais m’excuser sincèrement et exprimer mes plus profonds regrets dans l’incident qui s’est produit entre moi et un joueur de l’opposition le dimanche 14 octobre. En aucune manière, je n’aurais dû réagir de la sorte, ni provoquer un adversaire de cette façon. L’incident ne reflète pas mes valeurs par rapport a l’incident et n’est en aucun cas approprié pour promouvoir un exemple approprié envers moi-même, ou particulièrement envers les observateurs de l’extérieur ; parents, enfants, supporteurs, etc.
Bien que la situation puisse sembler tolérer ce type de comportement, j’ai moi aussi été insulté par le passé et insulté racialement à cause de mes origines. Pour cette seule raison, j’aurais dû comprendre la gravité de mes actes et prendre un instant pour réfléchir à ce que je ressentais à ce moment précis pour promouvoir l’opposé.
Je me rends compte maintenant de l’effet de mes actions qui ont touché proche de chez moi; mes propres coéquipiers. Je prendrai la situation comme une leçon majeure, non seulement pour promouvoir une politique de tolérance zéro à l’égard du racisme, mais aussi pour améliorer mon avenir en tant qu’individu. J’accepte complètement les sanctions qui m’ont été imposées, non seulement par mon club, mais également par la FSQ, et je continuerai à faire pression pour que ce type de punition soit appliqué à tout autre individu encourageant ce type de comportement.
Je peux vous assurer que ce genre de situation ne se reproduira plus jamais de ma part. Je reconnais mon comportement et je regretterai toujours mes actions. J’espère qu’une seule erreur pourra éventuellement conduire à mon pardon à l’avenir.

STATEMENT FROM PLAYER (Invovled in incidient on October 14, 2018)
To all my teammates, CS Longueuil, players/teams in the league (PLSQ), FSQ, and to all people that might have been affected by the incident,
I would like to send my sincere apologies and express my deepest regret in the incident that implicated myself and a player from the opposition on Sunday, October14. In no way, shape or form, should I have ever reacted that way, nor provoked an opponent in that way. The incident does not reflect nor showcase my values towards the issue, and is in no way appropriate to promote a proper example towards myself, or especially to anyone from the outside watching; parents, kids, fans, etc.
Although the situation may seem like I condone this sort of behavior, I too have been insulted in the past and have been insulted racially due to my origins. For this reason alone, I should have understood the gravity of my actions and should have taken a second to think about how I felt in that exact moment to promote the exact opposite.
I realize now the effect of my actions, which have touched close to home; my own teammates, my coaches and my club. I will take the situation as a major lesson, to not only promote a zero-tolerance policy towards racism, but also to better myself as an individual for the future. I completely accept and agree with the sanctions provided to me, not only by my club, but also by the FSQ, and I will continue to push for this kind of punishment for any other individual promoting this kind of behavior going forward.
I can assure you that this type of situation will never happen again coming from me. I acknowledge my behavior and will forever be regretful for my actions. I hope that one mistake can eventually lead to my forgiveness in the future.
